Do you like taking pictures, making videos or playing with the language? Have you ever thought about what being active means to you? Or maybe you would like to learn how young people from other European countries are involved in their local communities?

If your answer to any of these questions is “yes”, then we have something for you: We would like to invite you to participate in the international youth media competition within the campaign “Glocal Europe – youthNETwork for participation”.  International Youth Media Competition… What is it all about?

The aim of this competition is to promote activism of young people and their active participation in the society, at both local and global level.

We want to encourage young people – so also you – to contribute to the community through active participation and to give them space where they can show their visions of participation and activism. On the other hand, by encouraging youth to actively participate in the community, we will connect young people from different countries, enabling them to multiply and share their experiences and ideas as well as to help and support each other.

Through this competition, we want to give an opportunity to all active young people in the age between 13 and 30 years to express their ideas – to be creative and unique, but united! We also want to show that there are so many different ways to be active and to participate.

The competition categories you can take part in are photography, video and international slogan for youth participation. The works must address in some way the idea of active participation and active citizenship in our societies.
